MANE EVENT / TEEN OUTREACH CLUB (TOC)       An endowment and annual fundraising by Southside Lions and their collaborators will sponsor ME/TOCs at area middle and high schools serving predominantly youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. Youth will meet at least 5 times per month and may have one annual retreat at the Lions Den Outdoor Learning Center. ME/TOC’s use Wyman’s Teen Outreach Program© curriculum to teach critical life skills and foster a service ethic among participating teens. The first ME/TOC is being launched at Lift for Life Academy in September ’07 with more to follow. Southside Lions welcomes inquires from other service clubs interested in launching ME/TOC’s in their schools or community youth organizations. To encourage such ME/TOC expansion, Southside Lions have some funding available to dedicate as start-up challenge grants to other organizations.
